District Play-Downs
District play-downs determine which teams advance to the WAHA State Tournament. Format, dates and eligibility for the 2025–26 season.
Eligibility
- Teams must be USA Hockey registered and in good standing
- All players on the roster as of January 15
- All coaches CEP and SafeSport certified for current age
- Association in good standing with WAHA dues paid
Format
District winners advance directly to the WAHA State Tournament. Most districts run round-robin pool play followed by single elimination to a district champion. Specific formats are set by each district committee.

Intent to Play Down
Teams must submit Intent to Play Down by Dec 1. Late entries are not accepted without WAHA Board approval.
Roster Lock
Final play-down rosters lock January 15. No additions after the lock date except in approved emergency situations.
